Environmental Field Reports
Environmental Field Reports (ERFs) are completed by Marquis Alliance in accordance with the Public Lands Act. The assessments are necessary for the acquisition of surface dispositions on crown land. These reports facilitate the avoidance of environmentally sensitive areas, determine proximity to water bodies and gather typical background or baseline data. Any non-compliance issues that arise are outlined to the client before reporting, to allow for the implementation of avoidance or mitigative measures.
Services provided include searches of applicable regulatory databases, including wildlife, fisheries, biodiversity, historical resources and fire smart communities. Additional services may be incorporated upon request, including field screening, sampling, clubroot investigations and biophysical assessments; these are used to classify wetlands, erosion prevention plans, spill management plans, wildlife surveys, applications under the Water Act and applications under the Historical Resources Act.
